Your answer helped me a lot, and I found the confliction.
It was caused by the “Minimize CSS” option in Cocoon. I am sorry about it…
I have added Visual Portfolio to the plugin CSS paths to be excluded (i.e. /plugins/visual-portfolio/), and it now works with the latest versions of Visual Portfolio 2.20.0 and Cocoon 2.4.9.

For the temporary fix, I have backdated to version 2.19.1 and it now works again.
This is a workaround. I hope you to support with the latest version.
