It seems CKEditor on the one hand is not compatible with Simple Life Theme and Tablepress plugin on the other.
When CKEditor is enabled, TablePress tables cannot be filtered nor sorted, and menu button is not displayed while browsing on smartphone.
When CKEditor is disabled, menu button is back and TablePress tables can be sorted again.
