In reply to: [Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway] Paypal checkout doesn’t work@zpaparidis I had the same issue, it turned out to be because the Braintree library included with the WooCommerce plugin is very old.

I had the same problem. The issue is that the Braintree JS library included with the plugin is hopelessly out of date.
Until WooCommerce fixes this, you can just need to edit one of the plugin files to fix, and it works perfectly.

RESOLVED! Just to confirm for anyone else, a fresh install of WordPress 4.5.3 and v1.1 of the plugin works perfectly.
