Following your message, I updated again and the search bar now does seem to be showing on WordPress 5.5.

My apologies for not updating the thread, I had a few other issues so had to restore my site from backup – fixing this issue.
I am sure it was not showing on the latest version though – maybe someone here will have the same issue.
