Ah, of course, you are right. I just re-read what critical CSS is and indeed it doesn’t do what I was hoping for. It would be nice if we had a CSS cleaner in the plugin! Maybe you can just adopt the PurifyCSS code, that is licensed MIT (https://github.com/purifycss/purifycss).
