I agree 100% with hiegl as I have used wpDatatables for many years and it simply fits the bill when it comes to tables and the support is fast and very helpful.
I have to fully agree with @imkrishh as I have been a free and pro user for many years.
If I hit any problems or cannot solve them myself I know the support team is waiting in the background and will respond quickly and more importantly, with a solution.Simply a super plugin and the one I recommend for all your forms as the add-ons such as PayPal and PDF make it extra special. A big shout out to Ritee Lama at the Support Team for sorting a little issue I had and for going the extra mile and explaining the reasons and the solution.

I belong to a WP meetup group in the UK and today did exactly as you have recommended.
I will take your advice on the website for posting the job spec and also on the duplicate posts. I have found some examples online and can see clearer than yesterday so making some progess.
THANK YOU

In reply to: Grid form with checkboxesJust asking is there anywhere on this forum to find help or post the job specification? Had a look at both links but not seeing hire developer options. Will keep looking.

I agree I am not likely to find a plugin for the job as I have tried many before asking the question.
It has taken me 10 years to become reasonably proficient at VBA so learning new coding is a non starter but once I have code I can at least step through it with a small degree of understanding.
The forms are emailed to the Admin and that is all that is required.
Appreciate the professional help links and I have considered this but unsure if the overall budget can cope but as the form is required it will have to done otherwise the project will not start.
Thanks again for your valuable advice and I will look around for help and report back on progress. Coders (myself included) love a challenge and this form seems a real one!!!

Appreciate the detailed answer but have no way on here to attach a jpeg of what I am after. Yes .. 400 checkboxes as each cell can be ticked by the user.
I can code in vba for Microsoft Access but not for websites.
Will see if I can place the form mock up on a google drive and report back.
Thanks
Many thanks as always Support … much appreciated.
Alexander
Many thanks for the detailed answer and link and I have your pro version so take it the form addon is still applicable?
I have followed your examples and can see that is will work for me.
Many thanks

I can only presume you are commenting on another plugin as wpDataTables by far one of the best available for all types of tables. Support is second to none and suggestions for updates quickly actioned. Instead of sticking the boot in buy the plugin and see what it can actually do for you and you will soon have a different opinion.

In reply to: Updating PHP versionThanks again Alan ... will try after I understand and try the Health Check which I have just installed and reading up on it. Still a bit nervous of removing plugins etc but will have a go !!!

In reply to: Updating PHP versionMany thanks Alan and most helpful as I did install PHP Compatibility plugin but found it only when up to php version 7.3 and could not find one that checked up to 7.4 and beyond.
This has been troubling me as I did not want to cause further problems due to my lack of knowledge. Sadly when the site crashed when I tried higher php versions the error message was not helpful so I was no further forward. I will take your advice and report back. MUCH APPRECITATED.
Hello Ebauer
I am also a premium customer of the plugin and I do not recognise or understand your comments. As premium user you simply need to ask premium support for clarification and they will help you.
You will not find a better plugin for tables.
As for web application in today’s world no coding is needed to create a website.
Contact premium (paid version) support and I guarantee first class service and more importantly solutions.
Hello Pravtiw
Probably not a good idea to allow members to add data and that is why most Clubs have a Secretary who inputs data and members can see it, depending on their status.
I am sure wpDataTables can do what you require as it is by far the best plugin for tables on the market and well worth investing in the paid version. By paid I mean not just the extra features BUT the super support offered.I have in excess of 20 websites and all have membership and none would allow members to enter data because in the long run the mistakes they will make will cause more issues.
Just my own experience and maybe you have a good reason for allowing it and good luck with the project.Of Course @wpdatatables and as a user of the full version I should have known that but as the Plugin has worked so well for me without any issues (as you can see from my version number) I had forgotten but will the official support platform and pose the question.
Thanks again for the guidance.
