    Hi Kat,

    Thanks for suggesting to download the backup file through FTP 🙂
    I talked to DreamHost tech support and they assured me that they don’t restrict downloads through the WordPress Dashboard. So although I’m still not exactly sure if it’s a problem with the plugin or with the host (or something else entirely), I’m glad I was able to get my backup in the end.
    Feel free to close this post, as the issue is, technically, ‘resolved’.

    Hi Kat,

    In the last two weeks, my scheduled backups ran smoothly and on time without making any modifications, so I’m not entirely sure how it got fixed or what the problem actually was. Nevertheless, many thanks for your help 🙂
