    Hi Ken,

Thank you for reporting this issue. I was able to identify the root cause and a fix has been released in version 8.1.71 .

The plugin’s stylesheet contained a .container CSS class and a global * transition rule that were not properly scoped to the widget itself. Since Divi 5.0 also uses .container as a wrapper for its navigation bar, the plugin’s styles were bleeding into the menu — applying a semi-transparent dark background (the gray you saw) and extra padding/margin (the increased height).

All widget CSS selectors are now scoped under the plugin’s own container IDs, so they can no longer affect any theme elements outside the widget.

To resolve the issue, please update the plugin to version 8.1.71 from your WordPress dashboard (Dashboard > Updates, or Plugins > Installed Plugins and click “Update Now” if available). After updating, clear any caching plugins or server-side caches you may be running on the development site, and the menu should return to normal.

Let me know if the issue persists after updating.

    Best regards,
    Allen

Thank you for reaching out. What you’re observing is the intended behavior.

    The

[gwpro_global_weather_pro] shortcode is designed to display the compact sidebar widget when embedded on a page. The full forecast with the theme options you mentioned is exclusive to the larger Header Widget.

To display the full forecast, you will need to add the dedicated Header Widget to a widget area. Here are the steps:

    1. From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Appearance > Widgets.
    2. Find and click on the “Global Weather Pro Header” widget.
    3. Add it to your desired widget area (e.g., Header).

Thank you so much for your kind words! The Verse of the Day Widget for WP uses its own API and images, and is independent of any specific church or denomination. God has laid it on my heart to create this plugin to inspire people through His Word. All of the images you see are AI-generated and converted into Google’s WebP format. This format is a new technology designed specifically for the web, offering superior image compression that reduces file sizes without significantly compromising quality.

I truly appreciate your suggestions for improvement and always love hearing user feedback. If you have any specific ideas for AI-generated content, please feel free to share them with me. I’m always open to enhancing the plugin for a better user experience.
