In reply to: [YUZO] New versión without bug?I’ve been kinda freaking out as my site depended heavily on this plugin. But, at least a temp fix (until this one is fixed or replaced by the dev) I selected the “Related Posts by Taxonomy” plugin – as it produces similar results – although it is shortcode based, so I had to mess with it a bit. But it worked. For now anyway.
Not exactly.
The only way I could set up a custom field for the brief description was to create a field to hold the data; and then I used Filemaker to build/structure a calculation field result that generates the data from other FM fields that hold the title and brief description. I then copy/pasted the value from the calc field in FM into the custom field.A lot of extra work, but it gets me what I wanted.
I couldn’t find a way to do this entirely from ACF – not to say it is not possible.. But I couldn’t figure out how using ACF alone.I might also mention that an alternative approach – one that users could also use for dynamic audio content – would be if you were to add a way to insert one of your players by inserting it in a text field ‘using a shortcode method.
Some of the Custom Field tools, like “Toolset” have a ‘before’ and ‘after’ method ‘which allow users to dynamically construct custom shortcodes in places where it otherwise is not possible to do. Perhaps that might be an easier approach for you to consider.
Just a thought.I am so glad to hear that you have plans to implement this in the future; although I understand it may be awhile, I will be looking forward to it.
I should mention that I have been looking all over the place for an audio player that has that feature, but cannot find one anywhere. And with Elementor’s new dynamic content implementation, I am certain there will be a demand for it.
There’s plenty of dynamic: video players, carousels, slide shows various and text fields. But no one seems to think an audio player with that feature is worth the effort – so, again, thank you for considering it. You will certainly fill a niche once you do.

In reply to: [A-Z Listing] Smooth ScrollingI added a plugin to insert code in the page.
First I tried inserting it at the top, that didn’t work.
Then I tried inserting it in the footer instead, THAT worked. Many thanks for the solution.
PS: the plugin I used to insert it is this one..

In reply to: [A-Z Listing] Smooth ScrollingI inserted your JS code at the top of my A-Z page (in source mode) – and it didn’t do anything. Clicking a letter at the top, or clicking “return to top” anywhere down in the page, it does not smooth scroll, but still jumps to the anchors.
This is the page URL, if you want to have a look..

In reply to: [Multi-column Tag Map] Custom sort order?Wonderful! Thanks for doing this.
The child theme addition works perfectly; and although I have not yet tested the “force_first” or “force_first_nav” params I really appreciate your prompt attention to such details. This is a great plugin – there’s actually nothing else quite like it.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Multi-column Tag Map] Custom sort order? Thanks, that worked.
However, I am concerned that should I download any future updates to the plugin, this code will be overwritten.I am using a child theme however – do you know how to properly place a copy of the mctagmap_functions.php into a child theme – so these mods will not be lost?
I know how to do this with files living at the theme root, but as this is outside the theme I am not certain how (or even if) this can be done.
Any thoughts?

In reply to: [Multi-column Tag Map] Custom sort order?I just tried “• “ – which didn’t work.
I also tried “ ~“ (with a leading space), and also “ ~” – unfortunately neither idea worked.
The leading space is automatically deleted, and the “ :” appears at the bottom of the list as an “&”.- This reply was modified 7 years, 9 months ago by algerpixel.

In reply to: [Multi-column Tag Map] Custom sort order?Or, alternately, we might preface with a different character instead of the tilde.. for example – we might use a bullet char ” • ” instead – would that work?
I only have an outsider’s view, as my client feels this site would be her competition, and therefore does not want to reach out to her for advice..

Thank you for replying to this thread.
PS: Yes, we may well end up paying for the Metaslider gallery; but we are hesitant ‘since we do not know if it will be compatible with Fotomoto before we spend my client’s hard-earned dollars on it.
My client (this morning) also had a new concern about MetaSlider – although it’s beyond the scope of this thread; I thought I would mention it. This might be cause for us to reconsider MetaSlider all together.
She wrote me:
” Love the fade!! I’ll have to play with it some more.
Gripe: When resizing width, it doesn’t automatically resize height to retain aspect ratio of image (don’t want images cropped visually) ”
Perhaps you have a better recommendation to add for us to consider as an alternative? We are looking for an easy to manage, beautiful and configurable Slideshow / Gallery WordPress plugin that is compatible with Fotomoto.
Thanks again for any thoughts, feedback, and/or suggestions.
We have been trying to set up SFTP to save our backups off-site.
Your SFTP settings looks like it requires a password in addition to the “Private”(?) key information.
I try it here using the public key – without the required password, as there is not one. What am I doing wrong, and why does it ask for the PRIVATE key – that should always be private? Here’s a short video to demonstarte what we’re doing, and the result..
https://youtu.be/yN0HA1b8SVUThe owner of this site (I am her developer) wanted me to block all plugin updates.
However, after writing the above support request, I disabled update blocking, and made the manual backup described above, and then updated all the themes and plugins.
That included updating the BackupGuard plugin.Once that was done, I ran your the backup again – using both methods:
1. I ran a backup sans any cloud methods – and that now seems to be working okay (the restore button now appears as it should).
2. I also ran a second backup using FTP – and that too seems to be working now (restore button now appears there too). However, I then downloaded your compressed backup file, and attempted to decompress it, by changing the file extension (first) to .gzip, and then (secind) to .zip. Neither extension seems to work – hence I cannot guarantee that I have a way to restore the site from your backup unless I run it from your plugin’s interface. Are you using a non-proprietary compression method so I can dee that the backup it made it solid?
Please advise on this final question.
Thanks.
