I did test on other internal visitors browsers but the link gives the white page and we can’t reach this page error message which it shouldn’t, the link is suppose to open up Windows Explorer containing the files on the shared network drive.
I logged back into WordPress, and tested the page link from back-end, the link opens up the Windows Explorer containing the files and folders.
So i did one more test this time by logging out of WordPress and visited the site as a visitor the same link isn’t working, gives me the can’t reach the page message.
Also i noticed by one more test from back-end, the other web developer has only Admin privilege to update the sites using WordPress. So she tired accessing the link while logged into WordPress but Windows Explorer didn’t open, it gave the can’t reach page so I tired giving her Super Admin access, this time when she tested the link, the Windows Explorer opened up containing the files.
So my question is, if the link is working at Back-end while am logged into WordPress why isn’t it working with the front-end as a visitor when am logged out of WordPress?
Is it to do with security reasons? or am I missing something.
