  • Did you disable the MPM plugin or did you have to do something else as I was planning on using both on a particular project?

    All the best.

If its any consolation this issue only seems to exhibit the URL file name problem on Macs using newer OS version defo an issue with Safari and Snow Leopard … the file is not actually corrupted in my case just URL named if you rename and add a .zip (dot zip) to the end (in my case) you can actually open the file. I will continue to investigate the apple side of things and come back if I find anything but this is not my expertise 🙁

Be gentle with the Author … the so called standards in the browser market is a joke and is certainly a continually moving target other than this issue its a great piece of work. My son has no problem on his pre-snow leopard Mac with safari … so is it the OS or Safari and if so what versions of each … certainly something to do with Octet but what???

If its any help I am having the same issue by changing the Header settings in the setting section to application/download or application/force download this at least downloaded the file but it names it http://www.domain.com/?lease=blahblah which when in my case the user manually renames it to blah.zip does at least have the content.. also I have only found this issue exhibited on Apples 😮

I am still trying to work out a fix but would really love some feedback from the author if he can help … if you find anything please volunteer.

    Best of luck.

Easy fix, if in doubt, shell out $15 (I think) and get the Amazon S3 extension. Its a small price to pay for “definitive” peace-of-mind, and you get the benefits of fast downloads, reduced hit on your own server… blah blah blah.

    Have a great day.
