I figured it out!
In case anyone else has the same question, you can make zero comments display by editing the visibility of the no-reply class in the style sheet. Look for:
.no-reply {
visibility: hidden;

Would that then be using the RSS feed from the old blog location?
I want to eventually delete the old blog, and only have one at alyshajane.com
