When adding lots of images the WP gallery can be really slow and often gets stuck. It is oten easier to just add images to a site via FTP and then link to them. The problem is that then the plugin does not work since such images don’t enter the media library.
I looked at the plugin that you suggested but it seems like it only takes images from the WP library and my images are not there.
“Set featured Image / From Media Gallery” will also not work since the images are not in the gallery.
Any other ways to solve this problem?

1) on one post I added 45 images.
2) on 45 different posts I added each of the above images to each post by adding the URL which I got from the gallery on the above post instead of uploading the image again to the post “via the computer”. Each of these posts were assigned to a certain category.
3) on another post I added the autonav code to present each of the 45 posts in that category but these images are “missing”.Forum: Plugins

There were uploaded from another post on the same site but not from the post on which the shortcode appears. The images appear on another post on the same site and have been entered to the post with the shortcode via the URL.
