In reply to: The Switch from WP.com to WP.orgYou can have a wordpress.com account which is seperate from an install of ww.wp.xz.cn on a hosting account. If you’ve set up your domain properly, installed wordpress on your hosting account then you should be able to login at yourdomain.com/wp-admin…. Does that help?

In reply to: Help to make a menu of grandchild pagesHey Marcus,
Not sure if you are using page templates for each of these or if you are trying to just dynamically insert the menu depending on what page they are landing on…
You could try wp_list_pages(): specifically, depth and child_of rather than wp_nav_menu. If you use the page ID for the “sub page” level then it will display the menu items for “sub, sub page”. Also, to help with searching for solutions:
“page”: = parent
“sub pages” = child pages
“sub, sub pages” = grand child pagesSorry if that doesn’t really answer, but I am ready for bed! 🙂

In reply to: no thumbnail photos for postsHave you tried removing the plugin then going back and reinserting the images into the post, update the post and view it (may have to refresh to see changes)? If the images work when the plugin is not running then there may be a conflict. At least one step to rule out that issue anyway.
I’d be happy to help trouble shot if that doesn’t may a difference.

In reply to: Have wordpress.com but moving to ww.wp.xz.cn..error messagealso, to upload the theme you’ve purchased, after you have your installation going and your content in, then just go to Appearance > Themes and click the tab for install themes. Then click the upload link and upload the zip file with your theme in it.

In reply to: Have wordpress.com but moving to ww.wp.xz.cn..error messageFirst you need to install wordpress on your hosting account, which is what you seem to have the issue with. What you should do is delete everything you’ve done on your hosting account – the files, the database and use Dreamhost’s one click wordpress installation: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/WordPress#One-Click
Then export your wordpress.com and then go to your new website and use the import feature to put all your content into it. Tools > Import and Tools > Export.
If that doesn’t work out, then you could try: http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
