I need your help. Stripe Support (Priority Support) just replied and they are blaming your plugin for the PayPay failure.
They claim that the plugin is using a “very old API version (2022-08-01)” and that is why PayPay is declining.
Here is the exact reply from Stripe:
“It is still necessary for the Payment Plugins / WooCommerce to have the integration ready to support PayPay. It seems they may not have integrated it yet and a very old API version is being used (2022-08-01).”
However, I strongly suspect they are wrong because: I tested a direct Stripe Hosted Payment Link (without using WooCommerce), and PayPay STILL FAILS with the same error.
My Questions:
- Is the API version
2022-08-01 really the cause of this issue?
- How should I reply to Stripe to prove that this is their account-level issue?
I want to reply to Stripe with your expert confirmation so they stop shifting the blame.
