In reply to: Setup Hotheme EmailHi there, did you find a remedy for that?
I have the same pb. It turns out the emails end up in the spam bin because the theme is using as sender email the email filled in by the user in contact form. So naturally it’s treated as spam.
There should be a way to say this email comes from the site rather that the email filled in.

In my case it looks like a conflict with Yoast SEO plugin. Both work in isolation but not together. 🙁Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Shortcodes Ultimate - Content Elements] Add Icon to Box TitleThat would really be useful.
I couldn’t find a way. It seems to do it Lists & “Service” options.Worked like a charm!
Many thanks ClaytonJames. U saved me from hours of frustration.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Contact Forms not sending emailsMany thanks for your help!
The setup seemed to be correct but Gmail probably did not like access to the account from different distant locations. I could see that me checking the mails from UK and the SMTP authenticating from Germany was considering as suspicious activity in Gmail logs.
I now have one account to do the authentication through the SMTP plugin and another where the form is been send.
Works fine now.
Yeah, it looks like is not the same pb.
I only have one folder and they all go in there.
I had the pb a few months back and my memory is fading about it now, but I think I did not manage to crack it.
Customer was happy using the alternative ways to upload(web uploader and the ftp) and I decided it did not worth wasting more time on it.Thanks for you reply anyway.

In reply to: Contact Forms not sending emailsThanks for your prompt reply expharm.
I installed it & configure it with SSL & authentication and it worked.
But then problems 🙁 I am using a simple gmail account (small customer and I didn’t need to set up a Google apps account).
Gmail got all funny, and start suspending the account every couple of incoming forms, asking me to provide new pass every time. Now I am lost somewhere between gmail’s 2-step verification and “application specific passwords”, so the battle is far from over.
I think my problem is that I access the account from a different country from the WP-Mail-SMTP authentication (as server is located abroad) and this looks suspicious.
Yet, this “contact form not sending problem” is affecting more than 5 of my sites with different hosting providers, WP versions and form plug-ins, so my best guess is that email providers (gmail, yahoo…) probably implemented some new rules on the incoming emails in order to fight spam. Could this be an explanation?

In reply to: Contact Forms not sending emailsHi expfarm.
Same problem here :-S
So WP Mail SMTP plug in worked for you or you found what was causing the problem?
Many thanks
Still struggling.
Any help, much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
Nice plugin!
It works nice but how can I add some words in the widget like “Visitor count:..” otherwise I only get a meaningless number. Do I miss something?
Is there a way to put the counter somewhere in the template without using the widget?Any help, highly appreciated.
Thanks
