    Hello @opheliemj .

The “critical error” message is a generic alert. But these steps should help you pinpoint whether a plugin, theme, or corrupted core file is at fault.

    -Temporarily Disable Plugins:

Sometimes the error is caused by a plugin conflict due to the update.

      - Access your site’s files via FTP

      - Navigate to the wp-content folder

      - Rename the plugins folder to something like “plugins_disabled”

      - Try accessing your wp-admin dashboard. If you can log in now, a plugin is likely the culprit. You can then revert the folder name and disable plugins one by one from the dashboard to identify the problematic plugin.

    - Switch to a Default Theme:

If disabling plugins doesn’t work, your theme might be causing the issue.

      - Via FTP, navigate to wp-content/themes/

      - Temporarily rename your active theme’s folder (for example, add “_old to its folder name).

      - WordPress will fall back to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty-Three).

      - If the site loads, you know the theme conflicts with the new WP update.

    -Reinstall WordPress Core Files Manually

If you suspect that the update process left your core WordPress files corrupted or incomplete, manually replacing them might fix the error:

    - Download the Latest Package:

Go to [ww.wp.xz.cn](https://ww.wp.xz.cn/download/) and download the latest version of WordPress.

    - Extract and Upload Core Files:

Unzip the download on your computer. Then, using FTP:

      - Delete (or better, backup and then delete) the current wp-includes and wp-admin folders on your server.

      - Upload the fresh wp-includes and wp-admin folders from the package to your server.

      - Overwrite the root WordPress files (such as index.php, wp-settings.php, etc.) but do not replace the wp-content folder to avoid losing your themes and plugins.

This simple reinstallation can restore any missing or corrupted files that might have caused the critical error .

    Hello,

Do you know which technology has been used to develop your website? If your website is developed in wordpress then you can login to your dashboard and then install plugin ” all in one wp migration”. there will be an option export. go to export then select all for exporting all the content and design. Hence it may not export all the layouts. you have to design it. you can use theme builders.

    Thank You
