As I am not the primary maintainer of this WordPress site I am not at liberty to disable all the other plug-ins.
I have taken careful note that it only occurs when I am editing a double quoted text string with embedded variables encased in {}. It only happens when I edit an existing string, not when I am entering a new one.
Seems to occur mostly when editing text strings. Also happened in Edge.
