    I guess this thread will help me and many others who are starting. (Yes, i tried to search for possible answered questions, but none seemed to help)

    i am trying to create a blog where users can download things(thats why i switched to private host with wordpress) but the wordpress CMS won’t let me upload things(other than media, that too upto 2 MB) How do i create downloadable links for other file types and of greater size? Will Uploading a file through a FTP client and giving it 666 permission make it downloadable in ABSOLUTE address link?
