can you tell me when are meta tags added to my page if I install Yoast AFTER having created the pages ?
I just went to yoast options and told to add %%excerpt%% to all pages.
Does yoast add the meta description to all my pages instantly, or next time when they are updated ?Or does yoast add the metatags everytime a page is viewed ? (so what if I have a cache and the pages were already in cache before I installed yoast?).

I know that meta descriptions are not very useful but if you keep reading, nothing but content is important for SEO, so I still think that every little thing is a plus to help SEO.
The problem is that all SEO plugins seem to be too heavy, especially Yoast, and if they have to add the META TAGS to all the pages, it slow the website.
ok, so I know understand that there is not way to add meta tags to all pages without plugin or keep them on pages after uninstalling the plugin.
So the only solution would be to add a code that will allow to add meta tags manually on all pages. Without plugin all pages will have meta tags, but it’s a big job to manually add meta tags on thousand pages.

I know this, the best solution is CRON CONTROL plugin, but installing it on many shops only for this purpose is not very convenient.
This is why it would be perfect if you can add a 1 click to set the timing to 300, as the CRON CONTROL plugin does.
I understand that you are not here to do what I am asking, but I am so sure that it would be useful for many people who get the annoying message but do not take the time to read and find a solution.

Actually, do you think that instead of just removing the message, you could add a function to your plugin to set back the timing to 300s easily ?
I have the message but I do not know wny it changed, and 1 click button to put it back to default 300s would be so great !

In reply to: SEO META descriptions and META keywords without SEO plugin ?Thank you, I know the theory about META TAGS not being important in 2018, but as Google engineers are liars and SEO “experts” usually repeat what other SEO “experts” already said, I still think that because it costs nothing, pages should have meta tags.
