In reply to: [Super Progressive Web Apps] PDFyes will do, when I can, I deactivated plugin, but I’m setting up a test page on another site, although having additional problems generating service worker and manifest file with the 2.0 version, so have to resolve that first, before testing the pdf link.
yep I’m seeing this also, both service worker and manifest file not generated. Not using OneSignal plugin, and am on shared hosting LAMP.

In reply to: [Super Progressive Web Apps] PDFI also found that chrome pdf viewer shows blank screen when clicking on pdf link.
This happens when using PWA or Chrome to view pdf file. If the superpwa plugin is deactivated, the pdf links work correctly, or you can delete the Service worker cookie, which also corrects the issue temporarily.
As an aside but maybe it is related, there was a similar issue with an earlier version of Chrome but this was rectified when Chrome was updated.
So this maybe an issue with PWA rather than superpwa, or maybe it’s a complex caching issue tracing back to when Chrome had the problem???
Yes, I agree, subscribers are more likely to drop the subscription following this. I never expect anything to be totally free forever, but this all feels very jolting, and makes me nervous about what might be around the corner, and whether I should be relying on this plugin too heavily in the future.
My first immediate reaction was the website been hacked! which created a lot of unnecessary concern and panic. I don’t recall seeing any announcement in the changelog???

Seems to have resolved itself following 4.6.1 update, possibly this was the culprit: https://core.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/ticket/37697
It appears to be dependent on the format of the preview url parameters, and whether the author is someone other than the logged in user:
Shows post featured image for all thumbnails on posts via display post shortcode: ?preview_id=20065&preview_nonce=5156fcd6ce&_thumbnail_id=9522&preview=true
Works fine: ?preview_id=20065
Works fine: ?preview_id=20065&preview=true
Works fine: ?preview_id=20065&preview_nonce=5156fcd6ce&preview=true
If logged in user is author, works fine: ?p=20065&preview=trueThe culprit appears to be &_thumbnail_id=9522 which is included in the preview url parameter if you are logged in as someone other than the author.

In reply to: [Imsanity] Conflict with JetpackThanks dozza, that would explain it since the sites in question are on shared hosting.
Me too:http://northluffenham.com/
Same problem for me also with the free version, very slow on long posts e.g. 8000 words. Turning off Yoast SEO removes the issue. Perhaps it relates to the real-time analysing added in the latest update.

In reply to: [Imsanity] Conflict with Jetpackif image is uploaded following the error message, only one original image is uploaded without Imsanity resize. It doesn’t always show in the media library, and when it does, it shows a blank image, although the image is fine when you examine via sftp. Yes the way round it, is to delete from sftp and then upload manually resized image.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Conflict with ImsanityThanks Jeremy, no biggy, I can always turn off Imsanity to make the problem go away, Jetpack always wins when there is a conflict 🙂 just thought it worth making you both aware.
A filter to change the nofollow rel attribute has been included with the 3.7 update.
Here’s a screenshot showing the error:
