I am using the wp-signup page in conjunction with the Site Creation Wizard. Instead of forcing a user registration, the plugin forces a new site creation, which then copies the contents of a template into a live site. I am using this tool for a student portfolio system. Instead of relying on students to edit the theme themselves, I have designed a centralized portfolio template.
To answer your question, I am accessing this page to test the issue on behalf of my users. The challenge I ran into was creating a new site with a previously used and deleted site name. I hope this clears us your question.

I am creating a new site. The user is remaining in the system.
I simply deleted a site linked to the user, and I now want to reassign a new site with the same name. However, the sign-up form continued to tell me “Sorry! The site is reserved.” I apologize if my description is a little cryptic.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
