That shouldn’t be the case, but there could be something else that the plugin depends on that has an issue (cURL, etc). You can enable timings in the stockquote.php file. There are two lines that need to be uncommented (should be lines 606 and 607). This will tell you how long plugin execution took from beginning to end.

Testing on my own site, it takes .03 seconds.

This is something that Dow Jones and Yahoo have done, so there isn’t much I can do in terms of an easy fix. I’ll have to evaluate alternatives for this index.

Guys,

Although Yahoo has eliminated the ability to download XML/CSV-based quotes for ^DJI, changing your symbol in the plugin options to “INDU” should bring it back. In fact, when you do this, the data that comes back from Yahoo actually still references the ^DJI symbol. Not sure if this is an oversight on their part, but it will get you back up and running for now. I will keep thinking about ways to get this data from another source, in case it happens again.
