In reply to: can´t install themes or pluginsWhat is very strange is that I never installed the All In One SEO Pro version plugin. I only installed the free version. Not sure why this Pro version got referenced in the log.
I will try to follow up with my hosting provider. However, given that I cannot assure to them that this “URL in the path” is the cause of my issue and the fact that this only appeared in the log once but it is not a recurring problem that I could easily replicate for them to see, I am not sure that they will actually do something about it. Unfortunately, from previous contact I have had with them, they are not too eager to help solve problems with their service that are unusual. I will give it a try.
I greatly appreciate your help.

In reply to: can´t install themes or pluginsI see what you are saying. URL in the path… very strange.
I have not asked my hosting provider about this specifically, but I did try to get support from them on the initial issue about not being able to install plugins or themes. Unfortunately they told me that their support does not cover WordPress issues.
Do you believe that this “URL in the path” might be pointing to where the problem is? Do you suggest that I try asking the hosting provider about this or would there be anything else that we can try or check before?
Thank you,

In reply to: can´t install themes or pluginsThank you James. Hopefully your colleagues will have some more ideas on where else to look.
Just for the sake of troubleshooting further, I tried installing a Theme “Neve” but the also install failed, as with the plugins. What I do see is that in my Themes page it shows this “Neve” Theme as a “Broken Theme”, with the description: “Stylesheet is missing”
The log for the time when I tried installing this Theme at 13:54 is the following:

I look forward to hearing from you.

In reply to: can´t install themes or pluginsI deleted the whole /all-in-one-seo-pack/ directory. There is only one file inside the /wp-content/plugins/ directory: index.php
I then tried to install the Yoast SEO plugin and I got the “Update Failed” error again.
Looking at the log from the 13:25 time that this error was generated, I get:

In reply to: can´t install themes or pluginsThe only plugin I have currently installed is the All In One SEO Pack (free version) and it is Deactivated. With this plugin deactivated, I tried installing the Yoast SEO plugin and this is where I get the “Update Failed” error.
I have tried installing other “popular” plugins and always get the same error. Fro some reason, the All In One SEO Pack plugin was the only one that I was able to install.
In the error log I see: “PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded” – would this be an indication of the source of the problem?
Thanks,

I just proceeded to deactivate the All in One SEO Pack Pro plugin and immediately tried to install a new plugin but got the same “Update Failed” error.

In reply to: can´t install themes or pluginsHello James,
Thank you for you response.
I have deactivated, and even completely deleted all plugins, which made no difference.
The Theme being used is Twenty Seventeen, which I assume should not be causing any issues, correct? Should I still try switching to Twenty Twenty?
The site is hosted in godaddy and from what I understand, this hosting service does not supported under their Plesk plan that my site is in: https://au.godaddy.com/community/Plesk-Hosting/Does-GoDaddy-Windows-Plesk-support-htaccess/td-p/88710
In order to view the error log generated, I edited the wp-config.php file to include the following lines:
define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false );I then tried to install a plugin to generate the error, the error occurred, but when I go look for the debug.log file in the wp-content folder, it is not there. I even created the debug.log file manually, generated the error, but the debug.log file did not get updated.
Any ideas on why the debug.log file is not getting updated or on anything else I can try?
Thank you for your help.

Greatly appreciated.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Video Lightbox] player box opening on top of another player box?Nevermind… I found the source of the problem. My WP Theme has an option to automatically open up a lightbox for playing media, therefore the two player boxes showing up on top of each other. I disabled this option in the Theme and now the plugin is working great.
Thank you!
