On the back end, there is html code in many places where before there was user-friendly info & instructions. Thanks for help.

Thanks so much, and apologies for the delay in responding to you. For some reason, I didn’t get notice that you’d responded to my inquiry. I now want to have 4 columns instead of 3 in two areas of the page; the “Our Teams” widget and the “Services” widget above it. I’d like to send you a screenshot but I don’t see how to do this here. I see no link or icon for adding an attachment to this message. So, here’s the link to the screenshot. Well, I solved it. I tried turning Display off and found that the countdown remains on the home page at the top – and it’s disappeared everywhere else – so problem solved!

Unfortunately, I don’t have the plugins installed that you’ve named above, so deactivating them isn’t an option for me. I do use Wordfence for security, though. Should I try deactivating that when I’m editing? I don’t like the idea that I have to disable my virus protection plugin just to edit/write posts or pages. I KNOW I’ll forget to turn it back on if I do so, and then my site will be out there without protection. Any advice on how to fix this without disabling virus protection? Thanks so much.

This would include lines within captions and between widgets, and also the color put behind the blog post dates in the blog posts section on the home page, and anywhere else the Template Color is specified. Can you provide the css for all such places where the Template Color appears? Again, thank you for your help.

Thank you. I tried your suggestion to deactivate plugins one by one and nothing made a difference. I’m afraid to change my current theme because there are so many customizations on it. Won’t I risk losing the customizations if I deactivate the theme and then reactivate it?

Actually, no, that site I linked to is not using a theme coded to display page content under the nav bar. It’s the slider revolution plugin that allows for custom CSS to be applied to any given slider that allowed the “absolute” placement. I adapted the CSS used on the slider revolution slider to try to cause a global modification of the meta slider positioning, but when I inserted the code into the CSS customization area of my theme, it had no effect.

It worked – but unfortunately is site-wide which is a problem on some pages. Working on a workaround but really appreciate you providing me with the CSS. I think I can make adjustments that will make this work. Thanks so much.

I understand about not being able to add “previous” and “next” in addition to the arrows, but if my client wants to use the text instead of the arrows, how can I make that happen? I tried unchecking “arrows” but that did not make the text appear. What step or setting am I missing?
OK, so I would add this to my theme’s functions.php file, right? And would I just paste this code to the end of the file? Thanks.
