I haven’t changed any WordPress or AGCA settings. Just a fresh install of WordPress 5.8.3 and AGCA 7.0.2. The plugin somehow stops the interpretation of “& lsaquo ;” (without the spaces) into “‹” in all site titles. The issue can be overridden manually with the first option you mentioned “Admin Bar > Page title template”.

Update:
Bluehost has reported that the crash is due to FCGI timing out. Is there something that can be done within the plugin that may resolve this?
