In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] How to use this for external URLs?Hi,
when you refer to “external file URLs” from this FAQ, what do you mean by it?
Can I use external file URLs?
Yes, you can use both local paths and external URLs.I was thinking it is a URL link from say “google drive” where when clicked a user can download a file from google drive instead of my site.
Everything I have seen or read from all FAQs from this plugin is that I need to upload the file to my site and then use the id of that file in order to use recaptcha.
If my understanding of “external file URLs” is incorrect, please disregard this question.
Thanks

In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] How to use this for external URLs?no sorry…
on the link you sent me to, it only shows how to add re-captcha for downloadable content created on my site. (internal URLS, I assume)
“The Simple Download Monitor Plugin has a feature that when enabled, allows you to add reCAPTCHA to the downloads you create. Adding this security measure to downloadable items on your website allows only ‘real life‘ users to proceed to download.”
It doesn’t show how to use the feature if the link I would like the user to go to is an external link.
But on the FAQ page, it shows that you can use this plugin for external URLs.
Thanks
