In reply to: [Fundraiser Lite] Donate buttonthanks for getting back to me. Not clear on your instructions, can you provide specific instructions on where I find the control to change the links.
We experimented today by reverting and have reverted to 3.1.7 and wont now upgrade any further. Dashes are gone.
thanksThank you for your response. His statement was incorrect which is why its frustrating.
‘As long as I know, NextGen always replaced the empty spaces from he file names with dashes so that’s definitely not a new behavior.’
This is incorrect.
If you can tell us what version does NOT insert dashes we will roll back as that seems easiest right now. You must have logs as to when the devs made the change and it can’t be that long ago.we are really going round in circles, have you taken a look at the site mentioned http://www.5929.co.uk
every single gallery was built with your app and none of the filenames have dashes and neither do the uploads, if they did we wpould never use your app as who wants dashes in the name of the image while browsing? no one. the dashes appeared last week after uploading one new gallery which again I posted the link to and we did not update our version of plugin to my knowledge.
we are on Version: 3.1.17 and there is an update pending which we are loated to do encase even more breaks.
if you cannot help please pass on to somene else who can as this is wasting time, frustrating end users and solving nothing.all 40,000 images loaded so far do not have the dashes and thats what we expected to continue. I do not want to mess with the site as last time i did that the site broke and again the issue was created by your plugin.
We just want the plugin to load files as it used to without adding dashes??
look for yourself and you will the images we loaded dont have dashes in the viewing name.
http://www.5929.co.ukthats thepoint. the tiitles on the originals do NOT have dashes between the words, after upload they have dashes.
Sorry, you do not seem to have read my query correctly.
The filenames now have dashes inserted between the words. I pasted a link for you also to see what I meant. The file names are NOT loaded with these dashes but they are appearing in the gallery with dashes.
We Dont want them.
Are we doing something wrong?‘&’ in th egallery title was indeed the issue. we have remade the galleries without this character in th etitle and the galleries work.
We have doen more testing and we have recreated the gallery without ‘&’ in th etitle and the gallery shows correctly.
Can this be corrected at source code in the plugin as it was not clear that this should not be done and we have 100’s of galleries that have an ‘&’ in the title.Ive pasted in the debug code but it is being held by moderator, can I send direct?
here is debug info from site while trying to access buses album.

I havent used any album shortcode?
We cannot change the themes at this stage the site is built. The majority of galleries work so this is not practical, if all users started to use the plugin and part way through had to change their theme that would simply be ridiculuos.
Refresh the plugin files – what do you mean – reinstall the plugin? will we lose data?I’m so despearate I am even happy to let you have access to the site admin as this has taken up weeks of time and the client is very very unhappy.
