I’m facing the same problem too except that I’m using free theme Kryptonation. I want my blog post to appear something like this: http://mycompany.com/blog/2011/06/hello-world/ instead of http://mycompany.com/2011/06/hello-world/.
Well, it’s very much like this one, stickermule, where they have their blog post under http://www.stickermule.com/blog and their post url is http://www.stickermule.com/blog/2010/7/19/making-sticker-mule-simpler.

assign that empty page as posts page
How to do that? Is it Page Attributes > Template > Posts page ?
I don’t have the ‘Posts page’ option, the only post related option available is ‘Single Post’.
