Just to follow up, I recreated the problem in a sandbox and the team suggested upgrading my pro version to the latest beta — 4.8.6-beta-2.2 — would solve the problem and it did! Thanks for help!

Actually nevermind, just sorted it out. “Video Poster” in the Front Page Header Background section of the customizer did it for me.
