Are you using firefox? Since version 89 firefox block all cross-site cookies and this prevents videos from playing. I had the same issue and allowing cross site cookies fixed it.
Would it be possible to add to the plugin to use of youtube links with nocookie domain: https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/

The video link is created correctly but after that the content of the second tab is shown in the first. Removing the shortcode resolves the issue.
It also seems that the issues only occurs when using Theme X.
