I’ve already tinkered with this setting and it does not solve the problem for all cases. Actually, it does not solve the problem at all, since it controls the KB sidebar, which is not the problem, as I said in my original post.
The problem is the theme sidebar. I can manage this sidebar in the theme customization, but only for single KB articles. Not the other pages, which rely on archive template. If I want to disable the theme sidebar in the KB, I have to disable it on blog archive pages, which I do not want. This means, if I want the theme sidebar with a menu on the blog articles list, I must have it on the KB. Which I do not want.
I can’t figure out a way to solve this problem. I guess the KB should use its own archive template whereas it relies on the blog archive template.
