Glad you’re liking my Fast eBay Listing plugin. Just investigated this issue and I can see why this is happening. It seems for that logo, it’s choosing the French translation when Canada is selected.

I’ll make an update to change the default to be English on the Canadian eBay marketplace. However, longer term, I’ll look at options to drive this choice based on the language selected globally for the WordPress site. Thus users wishing to have a French Canadian site can do so.

This turned out to be pretty straightforward to implement and is now done! Check out the new plugin version 2.12.13 which includes geographic search filters on shortcodes and blocks. You can stipulate a pickup postal/zip code and radius, which when set will only display items available for pickup within this radius.

Note, when the pickup filters are set only eBay items marked as available for pickup will be returned. It will also override the Search Location filter that returns items deliverable to given regions.

I hope that serves your needs, let us know if you encounter any issues or have further feedback. If you find this new functionality useful, do consider leaving a review for my plugin, it would be much appreciated.

Got it, I’ll try and prioritise this feature for a release in the near future.

    All the best, Arthur.

    Hi Raquel,

Somebody had the very same request a while ago. When I looked into it, I discovered that the eBay API does not support this. It only support filtering results to a country, a region of countries or items available for pickup within a given radius of a zip code/postcode. The latter is a bit limiting as it will only return items that are available for local pickup, and is not a filter I’ve exposed within the Fast eBay Listings plugin UI because of this.

As such, it would not be possible for me to implement a filter by US State in the plugin.

The issue should now be resolved and everything should be up and running again now. The cause was a corrupted database table index preventing the server from running.

(I’ll follow up over email regarding subscription)

I’m looking into this now, appears to be infrastructure related. I’ll update you on progress as soon as I can.

    >Something else that I noticed: images for the Fast Ebay Listings are not working when i’m using Firefox with Private Browsing (not logged)

OK, Firefox Private Mode is the root cause here. It seems this enables the Firefox enhanced tracking protection, which is falsely flagging up the eBay images since their filenames appear like a tracking id. On the left-hand side of the Firefox address bar, you’ll see a blue tinted shield icon, click on that. In the menu, under ‘Tracking Content’ you’ll see it’s identified images from i.ebayimg.com as tracking content. In the same menu, you can disable the Enhanced Tracking Protection, after which you’ll see Firefox loading the images just fine.

I’ll investigate, if there’s anything further I can do here. However, since I have no control over the filename of images eBay hosts, I might not be able to address this issue with viewing content when using the Firefox Private browsing mode.

Hmm, that is strange. I’ve just checked out your site with Firefox (v134), Chrome and Edge on Windows, and the eBay images all display absolutely fine, all loaded instantly, and of course, I’m not logged into your site.

What Browser extensions/plugins are you using? Any ad blocking type extensions? If so, try disabling these to see if they have an impact. I’m not aware of any issues with adblockers, but it’s worth a shot.

Have you tried clearing you browser cache? What version of Firefox are you using?

Hi! This should now be resolved in v2.12.12 just released today. You should no longer need to re-type the seller name in each Shortcode/Block and it should utilise the default seller name set in the plugin options as intended. Do let me know if you encounter any more issues.

If you find my Fast eBay Listings plugin useful and you like it, do consider leaving a review with your thoughts. It would be much appreciated.

OK, don’t stress about answering the above questions, I’ve now managed to reproduce this issue and I can see what’s going wrong. I’ll have a fix for this released very soon.

In the meantime, just duplicate your seller id into each Feedback block/shortcode you add to your site as a temporary workaround.

    Hi,

Is this in relation to the Feedback info you’re displaying in the bottom right widget area? – This shows up correctly for me. Or have you duplicated your seller id in the Feedback block to get it working?

So, to confirm, you’ve set a default seller id in plugin settings, but are leaving it blank in the Feedback block you’ve added to the widget area so that it just uses the default?

Where do you see the error? In the Widget editing admin pages? On the front end? For logged in and non-logged in users?

Has this recently stopped working, or are you setting this up fresh?

I’ll see if I can reproduce this myself, but any further info you can provide will help here. If it’s only showing up on the preview when editing the widgets, you may be able to ignore this error. Otherwise, I suggest the temporary workaround of duplicating you seller id in the Feedback block you’re adding as a widget.

Just released a new version of the plugin – v1.2.6. This will fix the slideshow issue on first loading a page and present links with the correct URL to support the Etsy Share & Save programme.

I hope that addresses all of your queries, but do let me know if you need any more help. Can I also encourage you to leave a review of the plugin, it would be much appreciated.

OK, I’ve found the issue, looks like it’s a bug in the code incorrectly placing the javascript in the footer. 🙁 I’ll have this fixed shortly and should get a new release out tomorrow.
