Ok so that’s what I was doing wrong. Added using the custom css plugin now and it’s all good…. thank you so much for your patience with me, and thank you for helping me resolve the issue! 🙂
I’m using Godaddy’s wordpress hosting service. I am using pluginception plugin to add the code.

I tried what you suggested and this is what the custom CSS plugin came back with:
