Thanks– it sounds like from what I’ve learned here and elsewhere that there is a standard WP installation in there somewhere. Relevant to your helpful comment are that I will be migrating to a different server, and that I’ve just received a backup of the current site. All the files I see are .pcf which I’m guessing can only be deployed on the current VPN so there’s nothing for me to extract? Rather than a backup, I assume I need to ask for an export and specify a WP-friendly format like XML or CSV if possible? What can I ask for if that’s not possible? Thanks again
Yep- the problem I see with plugin importers is that they all seem to interpret JSON data into a feed, which makes sense given the original purpose of JSON. In the interim before I saw your response I did actually find someone who wrote a script for the translation. It validates and seems to be working using the plugin Ultimate CSV Importer. It’s processing now so I think it’s going to work and solve a lot of problems. Thank you for your confirmation that this is the way to do this 🙂

Happy to screenshare if you like, but that’s all the details I can give other than WP 6.1.1 using the Elementor Hello (Child) Theme 1.0.1. Just tried switching themes to twentytwentyone and made no difference.
I know you are, dude. I figured as much– just frustrated, sorry. But, as much as I love the effects it can produce I am behind schedule and need to deactivate it and hopefully I can come back to it later. Shame, really. Thanks anyway for the hard work.
