In reply to: Keep getting forced to d/l php scriptI wouldn’t think it would be a ping list either. I thought at first it might be a PHP issue related to the server, but one of the ladies in the WordPress Learning Buddies email group said her host said it was mod_security and something dealing with the comment spam rules. Several people in the email group are using that same host and all experienced the same problem… till the host fixed it.
Kamigoroshi – Just explain to your host what is happening and tell them it might be either PHP related or something dealing with the mod_security rules. Are you going through Liquid Web? If so, they’re fantastic so they’ll probably know what it is right away.

In reply to: Stuck Calendar?Mine fixed itself too, sometime after I went to bed (after 3 AM). I have my server set to my time (GMT -8), so I wasn’t sure why it did not change. Perhaps it does this every month, but we only noticed it this time because of 2006 hehe.

In reply to: Keep getting forced to d/l php scriptI’ve heard about this….
Contact your host as this an issue with mod_security (either that firewall, or another firewall on the server). It’s possibly due to a typo in the rules, or the rules not being added properly. The other people that experienced this said their host told them it was something dealing with the comment spam rule settings in the mod_security firewall.

In reply to: Stuck Calendar?Yup, mine are all stuck on December. On three sites I have 1.5.2, and my test blog has 2.0.. all of them are stuck on December.
I’m in an email group for WordPress Learning Buddies, and a few ladies in there are experiencing a stuck calendar (still waiting on the others to reply in there).

In reply to: Poor Dreamhost performanceThis probably won’t help, but I had a similar situation only with different software. Kept getting a warning email from my host about resources (over 600 members with 200 on the site at any given time). I finally got tired of it and purchased my own server. Did a cPanel to cPanel move over to my server, and after that I never once saw my resources skyrocket from that software. My host had kept saying it was the software, but it wasn’t… it was their server.
I can’t help but feel that in your situation it’s the same thing. Granted I have no proof… it’s just a feeling. Sorry I couldn’t help you though.
