Same with me. Deleting the plugin, manually downloading the latest version, and manually uploading it to the WordPress sites worked. Thanks as well.
I’m still stuck on 26.8-RC7 as well. I even tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling it, but it’s still in the same loop as “surfbee” described above.

Thanks for your recommendations. I was actually able to make it work finally by uninstalling and redownloading/installing the FTS plugin again.

I recopied it from the web and I don’t receive the error now.
However, it has still not corrected the problem. A bit of additional information: I went on vacation for a week and now the timeline announcement I posted before I went away has appeared. But the one I just posted now is not appearing.
