shame, I’ll have to switch to Woocommerce in that case. perhaps consider ading the option to group regions together, and to add multiple shipping methods that a user can choose (I.E 3 day, 2 day, 1 day etc).

This doesn’t answer the question, I’m talking about shipping costs by region, not sales tax.

Using Chrome but have tried in Edge. Screenshot 1 is the black background on the drop down menu which needs changing to #ffffff and the ‘V’ chevron needs to have a space between that and the text. Screenshot 2 shows the drop down menu when its activated and both the background and text are white. The text needs to be #000000. Hopefully the screenshots work

Thank you @babylon1999, the options are now visible. HOwever when clicked to select an option the text is white on white so can’t be read. The spacing of the arrow after ‘options’ also looks a bit off. How would you resolve this? I can only assume it is a bug since everything else followed the theme colours. Thank you for your assistance, CSS is not my forte!

Thanks. I guess I’ll have to add each model as a separate product as it seems to be the most logical way to do it from the perspective of the client updating thir prices. It makes the front end display of products a lot less neat which is a shame but base prices and moel markups in attributes would get very confusing.

Thanks, I’ll give the new version a try. Re my product setup, I didn’t explain it very well. I have variable products that use 2 product attributes for colour and size. The product model attribute is defined at the product level. If I setup aproduct with only the model attribute, generate variations for each model, and enter the prices for each product model. I then want to add the global colour and size attributes and generate the rest of the variations with markups added to the existing variation prices I have already entered, without setting my existing variation prices to 0. In the case where there is no markup for an attribute term, I want to use the existing variation price for that model to define the price. Does that make sense?

Lets say I have an existing product with variations called ‘model1’ and ‘model2’. ‘model1’ has a price set of £25 and ‘model2’ has a price set of £50. I then add the global attributes for colour and size. Colour has the terms red, green and blue, all with no markup. Size has the terms standard (no markup) and large (+£15.00).

When I regenerate variations, variations would be created, for example, that look like: Model 1, red, standard size £25.00. Model 2, green, large, £65.00. Model 1, blue, large, £40.00.

I’m having a similar issue. I just downloaded this plugin from the Wp plugin directory. However I don’t have the reapply markups option in the ‘all products’ list, nor an icon beneath the product attributes. When I chose to ‘reapply markups’ in the bulk actions of variations, all of my existing variation prices for that product were reset to 0, plus the markup. Plugin version is 4.0.2, is this an older version?

I’m also having an issue setting a markup price to 0. I have 3 attributes – product model, product colour, and product size. Product models have different prices, product colours don’t cost any extra and product size adds a small markup. I was hoping I could use this plugin to effectively add a £0 markup to the colour attribute, so that my variations would automatically be filled. However when I enter +0.00 in the atribute term settings, and click update, the +0.00 disappears. Any ideas? Thank you for your work on this plugin.

Thanks for your reply. I’d rather not do it on every page request, as you say – very inefficient. Could you give an example of the regex to achieve this? It would be great to see someone (more experienced than I) wrap up this functionality in a plugin. Something called, perhaps, ‘image link changer’ that could handle the necessary queries to set links to either none, media file or attachment page.

Thank you, exactly what I was looking for. Knew it had to be in there somewhere! Somewhat related, is there a hook I can use to insert a block of html in-between the rows of posts? I’d like to insert an Adsense block between the rows, if possible!

Thanks! As long as it will show a placeholder image, that’s good enough. I didn’t want posts not to appear simply because they don’t have images attached.

Thanks Andrew – that worked! 🙂

Thanks Andrew – I’ve made your suggested change in a child theme, but no luck! I changed #et_active_menu_item as suggested, but the bar still shows orange.
I know my child theme is working. Even changing #et_active_menu_item in the main theme CSS has no effect.
    Any other ideas?

    Thanks for your help

Thanks; It’s still not working as expected, even though only child categories have posts. Looking at the code though, it should work; so it’s probably an issue with my site, which right now I don’t have time to fix. Thanks though for the solution; I’m sure it’ll work when I have a bit more time 🙂

Sorry; I mean a parent category. So for example, if I had the following category structure:
    reviews>speakers>floorstanding-speakers
reviews would be the “top level” category.
SO, if the user of my site visited the “reviews” category archive, they would see a link to “speakers”. If they visited the speakers category, they’d see a link to “florstanding-speakers”.
Some of my parent categories have no child categories – in this case, I’d like that category archive to show the posts. However, when a parent category has children, only the lowest level categories have posts.
    Hope this makes sense 🙂
