I did the “SEND TEST EMAIL”. Below is the Text of the WF-dialog that followed:

A ‘True’ result means WordPress thinks the mail was sent without errors. A ‘False’ result means that WordPress encountered an error sending your mail. Note that it’s possible to get a ‘True’ response with an error elsewhere in your mail system that may cause emails to not be delivered.

Expected Alerts are still enabled in *Wordfence > All Options > Email Alert Preferences; esp. this one:
[Alert me when someone with administrator access signs in]

Not sure about the running of any SMTP plugins; not handling that myself. Thinking to fwd ur email to HostGator..
Hope they take the cue from your suggestions with [PHP error logs] and/or [restarting sendmail/postfix]

Sorry, had to uninstall [Post/Page specific custom CSS] plugin

While i was transferring page CSS from my earlier CSS plugin field to your’s, errors were flashed for missing (*/) and (}) and this stripped the page frontend of all the styling.

Will have to revert to my earlier CSS plugin and think of a workaround for it to carry with the page.

I was actually beginning to consider doing a search through all the pages for specific plugin-used abbreviation for its name in the code. (i dont know xml)
