so if all of those things are in place the blurb should be appearing but something is blocking it. So i need to know how to figure that part out. It just isnt registering over to the front static page.

I am using openstrap so that is why i thought it would be funny it wasnt working. I have the brand new update and i have never used wordpress before and i am also following a tutorial on pluralsight.com So I just cant seem to figure it out.
