I want to develop on a temp URL since my customer’s current site is still up and running on their domain. I would like to build the site and then switch domains in the middle of the night for minimal interruption. I haven’t figured out how to do that smoothly and I don’t want to start until I learn how to move the finished site from the temporary URL to the permanent URL.
I know what you mean, there’s a lot of dead ends in Word Press and never an answer to your actual questions. I’m at a dead end myself on a different topic, but still searching…(Insert various dirty words here)
