I think the problem was with my font on my browser. When I reduced it, the theme looks fine. It also looks fine on my iPad. Thanks!

Thank you for your response, I have updated my theme with right sidebar selected but it still does not work. Here is the link to my blog: http://www.memoirsofanaveragejoe.com/
I also tried enabling sticky sidebar but that did not help.
