In reply to: [Twitter] Direct MessagingThanks for the reply, Niall.
It would be excellent to have an official plugin from Twitter Dev that automates PHP based cURL calls from Twitter’s API. At the very least it could grow the development community‘s use of the API inside WP.

Ditto: Thanks Jeremy, great idea.
Nevertheless, WordPress core developers track peeps – come on, this functionality needs to be added to WordPress already – let’s not wait until 4.0 to put this in JetPack.
Thanks for the quick reply Jeff.
Pattern matching with the programmatic side of the web for security – both for apps and websites – is essential for those running the world’s most popular CMS.

Thanks David, exactly what I’m looking to do.
I’m looking to create a front end geocoding option on a platform I’m developing. I may just be using this great piece of code. Thanks @JGrandin and @Carpitomen.

@smackcoders can you please tell us when the update will be released?
Custom fields are essential for the project I’m working on – latitude and logitude values for geo-located posts.
Thanks!
I agree with Dimitri. I’m currently looking to perform the same task – though more for my clients than myself.
In a future release, it would be useful to have a toggle button, either in screen options or in the settings options, to turn the two types of notifications on/off.
Toggles like these represent the baseline of leading edge plugins like this one. On that note, Eren if you were to progress from freemium to premium I would happily be by a license for added features like these.

In reply to: MySQL to MariaDB Anyone Do This?Looks like most hosts are moving to upgrade SQL to Maria DB. Good to see a discussion started.
Here’s a nice screencast from the Maria DB community showing how to install Maria DB, and work with SQL.
Having the same problem
