Upon further inspection, it was an issue with the plugin “Simple Local Avatars” and I fixed it in the CSS. Thank you for the reply!

Thanks, I am assuming that is on the CSS? Not a simple change to the settings?

Thanks, big help, and it helped solve both. I used a period, which worked (www.mymakom.com) but for some reason on the actual event page, (http://www.mymakom.com/events/community-yachad-shabbaton/)the location city is not being picked up. I think that is because that page is set to only list the location place.
