In reply to: [Rich Reviews by Starfish] Turn off or remove link to post in frontendThanks Matt
I removed the following and it has worked. The link(s) no longer show when viewing the page source and thankfully it doesn’t seem to have broken anything:-)
<div class="rr_review_post_id" <?php echo esc_attr($hide);?>> <a href="<?php echo get_permalink($data['rPostId']); ?>"> <?php echo esc_html($data['rCategory']); ?> </a> </div>Thanks again, Andrew

In reply to: [Rich Reviews by Starfish] Turn off or remove link to post in frontendHello Matt
Thanks for the reply.
Any idea where in the code this is? As long as I know that this might have ramifications in the future I would like to try and remove it.
Thanks – Andrew

In reply to: [Rich Reviews by Starfish] Turn off or remove link to post in frontendHello Matt
Thanks very much for the reply and for fixing the issue.
With regards to links. I understand that internal linking is not a bad thing (throughout a site) but when using the review on a single post all these reviews links link back to the same post that the review is on. For example, if there are 30 reviews on a post all 30 of those are linking to the same post that the review is on – they don’t go anywhere else in the site. That to me looks spammy and I am concerned Google will see it the same way.
Having the option to turn these links off would be the best solution. Is there any way I can do this in the code?
Thanks again – Andrew

In reply to: [Rich Reviews by Starfish] Upload imagesHello Matt,
Thanks for the reply.
Does this mean you will no longer be supporting Rich Reviews? I have taken a look at Starfish Reviews in the past but to be honest it is overkill for my basic needs.
Any idea when it will be migrated just so I have time to look at alternatives?
Thanks again

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Excluding Google Maps js, maps.google.comHello Frank,
Ok, I have checked ‘Check this option for Autoptimize to also aggregate JS in the HTML. If this option is not enabled, you might have to “force JavaScript in head” and this seems to have fixed the problem.
I don’t really understand how this option works – will this effect loading times?
Thanks again – Andrew

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Excluding Google Maps js, maps.google.comHello Frank,
Thanks for the reply.
No, google maps is built in to the theme I use. I don’t see any error where the google map should be, all there is is a grey blank screen. re the other options, I will give it a try
Thanks – Andrew

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Excluding Google Maps js, maps.google.comHello,
I know this post is old but I am also having a problem with gmaps being displayed when autoptimize is active. It’s not an api problem because when I deactivate the plugin the gmap appears fine.
Can you let me know if possible what the fix for this was? Is there a way to tell autoptimize to ignore the gmap js?
Thanks – andrew

In reply to: [Caldera Forms - More Than Contact Forms] Great Plugin – ZERO supportI was too hasty with the above – the star rating does not reflect the quality of the plugin.

In reply to: [Caldera Forms - More Than Contact Forms] Page ReferrerThanks Josh,
Apologies if my initial reply was snappy – I just hate auto replies but I know you must be busy.
Thanks again,

In reply to: [Caldera Forms - More Than Contact Forms] Page ReferrerAnd that answer is why I will not be using or buying a license for this plugin.
Many users will want to trial the form ‘before’ deciding on whether to purchase a license. If you are unwilling to provide a quick answer to a ‘very’ basic question then perhaps you should put your plugin on a paid for plugin site and not dupe people into the free version with absolutely ZERO support.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Autoptimize and W3TCHello Frank,
Thanks for the help. I will stay with your suggestion, from a low score in the 50s yesterday to a higher score in the 80s today I am more than happy. I am trying to get my VPS host to turn on keep-alive. Also, I did optimise images with ewwww image optimiser but maybe I need to go back and look at that again.
One last question – is this default exclude string just for slider revolution? seal.js, js/jquery/jquery.js because I am planning to remove all the sliders from the site anyway.
Thanks again for all your advise.
Andrew

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Autoptimize and W3TCok, seems like the admin bar (top) purge cache option for w3tc is not working so well. Had to go into the wctc page cache settings and purge from there.

The above test with w3tc totally on with minification disabled. AO is fully on with the static files option unchecked.
