@blasco991 It turned out to be a plugin issue after all.
In my case, Age gate and Varnish Cache were interfering with my aMember plugin

Unfortunately I don’t believe it relates to my particular issue, but I could be wrong or I could be misreading the ticket information.

I was experiencing this issue before I updated to the latest version of WordPress, so I assumed it probably didn’t have anything to do with the 4.9 update.

The suggested workaround provided on the ticket suggests changing the site language or at least the user language on the backend. I attempted this but am still experiencing the issue. I suspect this is because the error mentioned in the ticket “mediaelement-and-player.js lineno. 318” is not one of the ones showing when I run the Javascript console: https://i.imgur.com/szWSl5l.jpg
