Since no one seems to know what’s wrong, can a reinstall help and if so, how do I backup the existing users?

I activated the debug mode and made button to test it;
1. When pushing, i got routed to paypal. CHECK
2. I payed and got sent back to my site CHECK
3. A uniqe link for registrer at my site was sent out and recivied CHECK
4. Clicking the link to register NOT WORKING:
I end up at a page saying:
Free membership is deactivated on this site. You need to be a member to see the content. Become a member her >>
It seems like everything works with the paypal process but something is odd at my site. Is there any new “accounts” at paypal or API that im missing.
So,worst case; if i need to re-install the plugin. How much get lost, and how can i backup my members?

No, when someone has payed in PayPal, a link is send out to create the user on our site. That link used to end up at a registration page but not anymore. Now it ends up to a page saying you need to be a member.
Please help….
