Having exactly the same problem. Very strange.
Twitter language is set to English. WordPress all shows in English. It’s just the Twitter integration.

Done exactly what you mentioned about 20 minutes ago.
I renamed the .htaccess file to .htaccess_old and its working fine now! Thanks anyway!
