Hi,
Well, I don’t know what to say. I checked for the n-th time. Still the same.
When showing the tiles on the main page I still get a refferral to the cropped version: see here. As you can see both ‘data-orig-size’ and ‘data-orig-file’ point to the correct size and file, but the ‘data-gallery-src’ attribute points to the cropped version of the image.
After clicking on the image the cropped version is used, see here. As you can see the ‘data-orig-file’ and ‘data-permalink’ attributes reference the right image, while the ‘img scr’ value once again points to the cropped version.
I encounter this isuues on a desktop computer, maybe that’s where the issue lies? Just to be sure, I can reproduce the issue on Edge and Chrome browsers (I don’t have any other browser installed) with both the Graphene theme or the default WordPress theme.
Regards,
ErwinHi,
I’ve played it out for you:
The image as it is shown in the carousel: see here.
Right click on the image to open: see here.
Opened image: see here, which is the cropped version (219×1024.jpg instead of the full version which is 427×2000).Inspection shows that the 219×1024 cropped version is used in the carousel (see here).
Does this clarify things better and/or more? I expect the full version to be shown in the carousdel.
Just in case, as I stated before, the behavior is the same when using the default theme Twenty One.
Kind regards,
ErwinHi,
Thank you so much for looking into this.
The issue is the same for both themes, Graphene which I use and the default Twenty Twenty-One, which i enabled yesterady and gave the same results. The image you’ve circled is indeed the image I referred to.
The image used in the acrrousel is this cropped version.
It always has been and should be thsi full version. Please let me know if you have enough information to go on.
Kind regards,Erwin
Hi, thank you so much for your reply. I tried the Twenty-Twenty One theme and the result was the same, unfortunately.
I hope you’ll be able to reproduce the issue!Kind regards,

So I’ve seen the issue has been solved and is ready to ship for a 1.7 release. Any news on when the release is available for us?
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Comments no connectionHi Bruce,
It works now. Thank you!
This seems to happen every 6 months or so. Some functionality gets messed up upon which you change some setting on your end.
Is there something I can do to prevent those errors?
Kind regards,

In reply to: [Comment Experience by Progress Planner] No email button in WP 5.5Hi, so one month ago a new version was distributed, containing translation issues, but no solution for the mail functionality that isn’t working anymore.
Any timetable on when that will be fixed?
A reply would be nice!Regards,
Erwin BarendregtHi,
After the update there is a minor issue that the message (number of comments) Pings is still shown, even though trackbacks and pings have been diaabled (see this post for example).
Thank you in advance for looking into it.
Sincerely,

In reply to: [Comment Experience by Progress Planner] No email button in WP 5.5I know I am not the only one having this problem, so is there something I’m missing. Usually the people from Yoast respond quickly. Maybe I should mention this on the Yoast website?
Kind regards,
Erwin BarendregtGreat, thanks Maria and Graphene theme developers!
