In reply to: Adding Featured Images in WP 3.2.1Hmmm… I tried all of the above yet the image is still not showing up on the live website. I am getting the “Featured Image” option on my Post edit pages and I am able to set a Featured Image but when I update the Post, the image is still showing up as missing on the live website.
I saw another thread where someone mentioned updating the config file but they didn’t say how they did it. I sent them a note asking what they did but still no reply. Any ideas?

In reply to: Featured Image box has gone in version 3.2.1I found the reason behind this problem. I needed to update the config file to that used in WP 3.2.1.
Can you please explain what you did to solve the problem? Which config file did you update and how did you do it?

I’m still learning WP. I just don’t want to be in a situation where I change themes and change back only to find that my site is all discombabulated

Because clients and potential go to my site regularly. And: 2) let’s say I find that the problem is with my theme and how it works with 3.2.1. How do I take that knowledge and fix the problem? Where do I start?
I should have mentioned that the Featured Images worked fine before I upgraded to 3.2.1. After I upgraded I no longer had the Featured Images option. I was able to add a line to my functions.php and another .php file (can’t remember which of the top of my head but I can look it up) and the option to add a featured image returned. However, even though I can add and use the Featured Image when I’m editing the post, when I update it on the site, the Featured Image still doesn’t show up. Maybe that helps explain a little better what’s going on. It’s something having to do with the way my theme works with 3.2.1

In reply to: Featured Image in Post editor won't show up on siteI looked into that theme but I don’t like that theme. I like the one I have. If I were running a simple blog site or something for fun perhaps I’d try it. But for my business, the theme I have works perfectly so I’d like to keep it. I previewed the Twenty Eleven theme and it just doesn’t work for me. Plus I have other posts on the page that all work fine because I added them (and their featured images) before upgrading to 3.2.1.

If you check out the second link you’ll see where I have eight posts with featured images and one where the featured image is just a blank placeholder.

I added those lines to my php files and the Featured Image option returned to my Post’s edit page… but when I updated the page with the Featured Image, I still don’t see the featured image on the post on the actual live website. Any ideas?
